EYE CAM SYSTEMS

Eye cam systems are miniature cameras fully enclosed to meet a variety of needs where size, weight, performance and a hands free capability are paramount.

The cameras have been developed to the point where they can now be supplied in different formats, (PAL NTSC) Colour or Monochrome; CMOS or CCD Low Lux operations from 0.005 lux and currently up to 570 TV lines resolution

Eye Cams,with weights as low as 40 grams and others, are providing invaluable service in aviation applications, on land with both Law Enforcement agencies and the Military, and on the oceans and seas in every continent. Every application meets the same essential goal… to enable the primary system user to share the images he is seeing on his mission, with others. This shared sight image can be made immediately available to others via Video transmission or may be collected locally on a man worn recorder for use at de-briefings etc.

The primary system user is not inconvenienced when using the Eye Cam; he has total hands free from camera and the image he sees is the image you can see!

There are many different version/systems available from stand-alone camera systems to complete man worn (Less than 2Kg total system weight) Image Recovery and recording systems and we are responding to individual needs regularly.

For Airborne Applications (Fixed or Rotary Wing) uses include

  • NVG Flying Training Aid, including scanning techniques
  • Mission Briefing/De Briefing
  • Library of Pilot Viewed NVG scenes, for PR and other purposes

As an NVG/IRS Arrangement (Night Vision Goggle/Image Recovery System) it offers a complete stand alone system requiring NO AIRCRAFT MODIFICATIONS !! and will run for the full time of the recorder medium - mission in excess of 120 mins.

For Ground Use Applications
